We are situated in the Charente but on the border with the Dordogne. The Natural regional park of the Perigord Limousin is also within 5 kilometers of the property. Pretty wooded hills and valleys criss crossed by sparkling rivers and streams make the area perfect for walking and cycling or horse riding on the many tracks.
The medieval town of Angoulême is only 45 minutes away and has a good offering of restaurants, shops and ativities.
La Rochefoucauld is only 20 minutes from us and has a beautiful castle which you can visit as well as a good selection of shops including a hypermarket.
Montbron is about 10 minutes from here. The pretty high street has a good selection of shops and there are also a couple of supermarkets.
Brantôme, the venice of the Périgord can be found 45 minutes south of here in the Dordogne. There are shops in the caves, restaurants and hotels alongside the river on which you can take a boat trip to discover the town from the water. There are restaurants elsewhere in the town too.

The lakes of the Haute Charente are also easily accessible from here and offer a range of outdoor activities including walking and cycling, fishing as well as swimming and sailing in the summer.
